With a mission to meet the continual learning needs of adults in a changing economy, the University of Arizona Outreach College announces a fresh new approach to continuing education with dynamic non-credit course offerings for adult learners.  More than 150 new Continuing Education and Professional Development offerings can now be found on the Outreach College website: http://oc.arizona.edu.

 

One of these courses is Hiking and Science , which I will be teaching. This course will cover the science of nature in The Sonoran Desert. and runs September 7 through October 8, 2013. Javalina Hikers

We had 21 people on the hike today many of which came because they heard great things from yesterdays crew! Out on trail we ran into a pack of javalina about 14 strong including around 5 little ones! evidently they too love the trails out at Starr Pass!!

We have been exposing many people to the Sonoran Desert for years! Most walk away with a true sense of respect and love for our desert and the earth! Others can only remember the thorns, but that’s for them to work out right!
